This session is dedicated to the development and use of common theoretical and computational approaches for Earth System and Space Sciences modeling. The session aims at enhancing communication between different areas of Earth system science such as oceans, atmosphere, magnetosphere. Contributions dealing with theoretical and computational approaches that include particle tracing methods in turbulent media, diffusion in turbulent media, study of phase-space trapping, energy cascades and nonlinear effects are welcome. Of interest to this session will also be contributions that use of High performance computing (HPC) in model and code development and acquisition of results.
