The aim of the session is to present recent research and promote discussion relevant to feedbacks within the climate system (relevance to climate change in the next century is particularly welcome, but not essential). Both physical and biogeochemical feedbacks are expected to feature prominently in the session.
Possible topics we would be very keen to have in the session include:
- cloud feedbacks
- ice-albedo feedbacks
- other polar amplification mechanisms
- hydrological feedbacks
- carbon cycle feedbacks
- vegetation and/or land-use change feedbacks
- ocean circulation feedbacks
- other biogeochemical feedbacks such as ocean DMS production, terrestrial nitrogen cycling, dust production and feedbacks involving atmospheric chemistry
Observational and modelling studies are equally encouraged, with modelling studies expected to span the range of model hierarchy from simple models to EMICs to coupled-GCMs.
