On April 30 2008 Fritz Schott passed away. This session will remember his many lastig scientific advances. Most of his research focussed on the understanding of the ocean circulation where it is strong. Papers addressing the tropical Indian, Pacific and Atlantic oceans as well results with regards to the Atlantic overturning circulation are particularly encouraged.
