This session focuses on fundamental and applied aspects of turbulence in flows subject to destabilising accelerations in both compressible and incompressible fluids. Specific topics include Rayleigh-Taylor instability, Richtmyer-Meshkov instability. Relativistic, magnetohydrodynamic and gravitational interactions. Laser induced flows. Plasma dynamics. Mixing and Coherent structures in Astrophysical flows. Explosions, Experimental, numerical and theoretical studies of shocks. New numerical and experimental technics and observations. Direct numerical simulation, large-eddy simulation and turbulence models of compressible and hypersonic flows.

Invited lectures will be given by

Prof. Vittorio Canuto - Geo-Astrophysical Turbulence
Prof. I. Lebo - Laser-Plasma-Matter Interactions

A Special Issue on Turbulence in Geo-Astrophysical Flows will be prepared for NPG by invitation (Open to all NP) higlighting the advances in recent years.
