Recent improvement on geomagnetic time scales and well-dated global (marine) climate records considerably enhance timing and understanding of continental sediment records. Furthermore, the impact of (orbital) climate variations on continental palaeoenvironments is increasingly studied. This session aims to gather contributions related to palaeoenvironmental studies on continental successions. The focus will be on well-dated records allowing comparison with global marine and regional continental climate records and on cyclostratigraphic analysis.
