Gravity and Magnetic fields, as potential fields may be seen as the superposition of contributions of sources of different depths and extents. For global analyses, the mathematical tools used to achieve multi-scale modelling and interpretation, are mainly based on spherical harmonics. For local analyses at shorter wavelengths, alternative methods such as R-SCHA or wavelets frame are used. Recent achievements in compiling satellite and near surface data make possible to get complete overview of the potential fields behaviour with
altitude. However coping with the spectral gap that appears between the large wavelength/high altitude satellite data and the short wavelengths/low altitude surface data remains an important issue.

In this session, we invite contributions related to magnetic and gravity field modelling at all scales on Earth or on other planets. Contributions reporting progresses in new techniques and tools, as well as their applications for geophysical interpretations, are particularly welcome.
