It is well known that human management practices and climate conditions can affect soil quality, which is essential in supporting food, energy and biomass production and also biodiversity. This session addresses papers dealing with soil biological, chemical and physical properties as affected by environmental factors with particular emphasis on climate changes. Contributions on the susceptibility and resilience of soil quality to factors associated to climatic conditions and those with indicators integrating key soil properties and used for evaluating soil quality are particularly welcome.
