This session welcomes contributions reporting new results on the chemistry and role of organic compounds in the atmosphere. Possible topics includes the identification of new organic compounds in the gas or particulate phase, studies of their uptake and other exchanges with aerosol particles or cloud droplets, investigations of new particle or Secondary Organic Aerosol formation, of gas-phase or condensed-phase reactions, and of specific properties of organic matter such as light-absorber or Cloud Condensation Nuclei.
