Solar and Geomagnetic Activity and Their Influences on the Earth's Weather and Climate (co-organized)
Convener: Sergei Avakyan  | Co-Conveners: Alan D. Aylward , Jean Lilensten
Oral Programme
 / Wed, 05 May, 08:30–10:00  / Room 16
Poster Programme
 / Attendance Wed, 05 May, 17:30–19:00  / Hall Z

The session is characterised by united consideration of all the main factors that are connected with solar and geomagnetic variability namely: electromagnetic activity of Sun, solar cosmic rays, galactic cosmic rays, electron precipitations from radiation belts. Special attention will be payed to the solar flares and geomagnetic storms as well as to the role of the long-term trends of the solar activity, in particular, in global climate changes. Papers involving the physical processes in the ionosphere and stratosphere will be welcome in the first place.
