The Lewis Fry Richardson Medal is presented to Klaus Fraedrich for his diverse and lasting contributions to the applications of nonlinear and stochastic concepts and methods to the atmospheric and oceanic sciences, and for the development of highly valuable modelling suites of broad use and easy access.

Public information: The Lewis Fry Richardson Medal lecture will be the last of a session (NP1.1) in which prominent scientists will present recent exciting developments in several subfields of Nonlinear Processes in Geophysics.
