TS4.2 Glaciation as a control on mountain building and topography (co-organized) |
Convener: Frédéric Herman | Co-Convener: Pierre Valla |
|
The spatial and temporal evolution of glacial erosion and its effect on topography can be quantified by a variety of techniques. This session addresses how the integration of different techniques and approaches can aid in quantifying glacial erosion Earth. We welcome field-based and modeling studies as well as contributions that integrate intermediate to long time scale data such as: low-temperature thermochronology, cosmogenic nuclides or other geochemical studies. Multidisciplinary studies as well as innovative approaches are encouraged.
Invited speakers: Vivi Pedersen (Univ. of Aarhus), Gerard Roe (Univ. of Washington), Dirk Scherler (Univ. of Potsdam)
