Application of non-traditional stable isotopes in biogeosciences (co-sponsored by THERMO)
Convener: Thomas Prohaska  | Co-Convener: Johanna Irrgeher

An increasing number of isotopic systems have been investigated for the last couple of years augmenting significantly the information content in geosciences. This session accommodates this recent trend and invites contributions in ecogeochemistry with a focus on the analysis of non-traditional stable isotopes (e.g. Sr, Ca, Cd, Ba, Hg, Pb).

Studies from both terrestrial and aquatic (including marine) environments dealing with migration in biological systems, food authentication, environmental monitoring, forensics and archaeometry as well as methodological and experimental studies introducing new approaches or techniques (e.g. spiking studies, instrumental developments, laser ablation technologies) are highly welcome.

The session is a unique opportunity to bring together experts from different fields of research making use of ‘non-traditional isotopes’ as pivot.
