The claim of undisputed and universal validity for many findings in geology are being questioned with developing knowledge of science. Many individuals and groups have put forwarded alternative explanation even to fundamental building blocks of tectonics and structural geology. But only 'a few' are aware of these alternatives. Hence many researchers need to overlook the unconformable data from the field to fit their results within the current trend. A discussion on alternative thoughts in EGU would give the researchers to think about alternatives and to evaluate their data set accordingly.
