The European Research Council (ERC) supports investigator-driven frontier research in all science disciplines. Scientific excellence is the sole selection criterion for grants, which can amount up to EUR 3.5 million. Any researcher from anywhere in the world can apply for funding for projects carried out at a host institution in a Member State of the European Union or Associated Countries. At this town hall meeting, we will present the main features of ERC funding schemes under Horizon 2020, the new EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
