Soil biota is essential from many key ecosystem processes such as nutrient cycling, soil formation, water movement in ecosystem etc. Essential role of soil microorganisms in these processes is generally appreciated but soil fauna can in many cases regulate microbial processes by many indirect ways such as microbial inoculation, modification of microhabitat or predation on microbial community. The aim of the session will be to explore these relationships and their role in soil and ecosystem functioning.
