Benthic foraminifera are widely applied in studies focusing on ecology and paleoenvironment reconstructions. This section invites micropaleontologists working with modern and ancient benthic foraminifera distribution, ecology and geochemistry. The session welcomes contributions focusing on the application of benthic foraminifera as a proxy to assess the environment, monitor environmental changes, and to reconstruct the palaeoenvironment, climate and sea-level changes.
