Environmental processes often span spatial and temporal scales covering different orders of magnitude. The session is oriented in collecting studies relevant to understanding multiscale (possibly fractal) aspects of these processes, in proposing adequate modeling tools and is especially aimed at studies emphasizing the interaction between environmental processes occurring at different scales.
We also aim at contributions emphasizing the multiscale nature of Earth structures, relevant to environmental processes.
In this context, contributions in numerical and analytical models that cover the field of: geodynamics, volcanology, seismology, earth critical zone (i.e. soil hydrology, landslide processes) and lower atmosphere are welcome.
