The scope of this session covers all aspects of comets, asteroids and dust, including Kuiper belt objects, meteors and modeling. You are invited to present your recent results related to past and ongoing space missions (Dawn, LRO, Stardust, Cassini, Deep Impact, Hayabusa/MUSES-C etc.), future space instrumentation, observational studies of comets, asteroids and dust from the ground and from space, including the recently observable bright comets, laboratory simulation and modeling (e.g. of asteroidal regolith, cometary ices and dust). This session also includes research on granular systems applicable to small bodies and gravitational aggregates, addressing global morphology behaviour under self gravity, regolith properties in microgravity, etc. It embraces planetary science observation and modelling on small bodies, numerical methods, laboratory experiments and scaling, segregation phenomena, rheology and involved forces. Physical and dynamical features of binary/multiple asteroids and asteroid pairs, their formation and evolution, can also be addressed.
NOTE: Rosetta abstracts should be submitted to PS4.2
