Increasingly field data and satellite measurements are being used to better understand the links between clouds and circulation. Dedicated field experiments such as NARVAL, NAWDEX and CINDY/DYNAMO are good examples of such efforts, as are measurements using satellite and ground based remote sensing data, for instance from the Barbados Cloud Observatory or the ARM Climate Research Facilities. This session endeavors to bring together those working to link measurements to theories and models of cloud-circulation coupling.
