Rock physics characterization using geophysical methods and tools
Convener: Sid-Ali Ouadfeul  | Co-Convener: Leila Aliouane

Geophysics can be greatly used to extract a lot of information about rock properties, for example the seismic method can help to get more information about the mechanical properties of the rock, gravity method can be used to have information about density, depth and geometry of the rock; geomagnetism and paleomagnetism can be used to have information about rock susceptibility, tectonic and formation history, etc.
The aim of the session is to show the case studies and the latest researches of the use of the full spectrum of the geophysical methods to characterize the physical and chemical properties of the rock. The session will be performed as a PICO session.
