This session is a follow-up of the successful session on teaching Structural Geology and Tectonics at EGU 2017. New styles of teaching, such as blended learning and flipping the class room, and state-of-the-art data collection, modelling and visualization tools find their way into higher education courses in Structural Geology and Tectonics. We invite researchers and lectures to present their original and innovative ideas, strategies and tools regarding teaching Structural Geology and Tectonics in the 21st century. This session is a PICO session, allowing interactive approaches in line with the goals of the session.
