This Great Debate will address the following questions: whether the business model of traditional publishers is justifiable and sustainable, whether it benefits or hinders scientific research, to what extent and how should scientists should contribute to the operation, what are the current and future alternatives, what role will preprint servers play?

Possible participants are representatives from a commercial publisher, a less-commercial publisher, a funding agency and a journalist. Participation is by invitation only.
