"Mercury - the planet of the extreme" has been what we only have only known about this body in the past decades: size, mass, temperature, orbit have seemed to be very different from the counterparts of the other neighbouring planets.
The recent data recorded by the NASA MESSENGER spacecraft enlight Mercury as a completely new world to be understood as a Member of the Terrestrial Planet Family.
The aim of this session includes, but is not limited to, investigations concerning the interior structure, magnetic field, exosphere, geology and surface features.
