The increased socioeconomic relevance of river flood studies and a shift of these studies towards integrated flood hazard & risk management concepts have motivated the development of complex methodologies for the simulation of the hydraulic behaviour of river systems. Numerical models predicting floodplain inundation have proved to be useful tools in floodplain management and flood risk assessment.

Papers that address one or more of the following questions are solicited:
- Flood inundation dynamic and modelling
- Floodplain mapping
- Uncertainty analysis and model calibration
- Data assimilation (remotely sensed data, stage data, etc)
- Flood risk studies
