Magnetic field modeling and rock magnetic properties from scientific drillings
Convener: Agnes Kontny  | Co-Convener: Andreas Hördt
Poster Programme
 / Attendance Wed, 22 Apr, 17:30–19:00  / Halls X/Y

This symposium seeks contributions both on measurements and modeling of the magnetic field and its close dependence on the induced and remanent rock magnetic carriers in different lithologies. The session is focused on case studies from borehole magnetic data collection and interpretation for a better understanding of regional tectonics, natural hazards, and environmental settings. Authors are particularly encouraged to submit contributions on integrated interpretation of borehole magnetic data with laboratory measurements or surface and airborne magnetic data related to different geologic settings like fault systems, subsurface structures of volcanoes or ore deposits. Papers on related topics such as the development of new methods for data interpretation or new instrumentation are also welcome.
