The Lewis Fry Richardson Medal is presented to Stéphan Fauve for his many contributions to nonlinear geosciences, mainly through elegant laboratory experiments with wide applications to turbulence, and major experimental work in magnetohydrodynamics unravelling processes related to the geodynamo.
