Remote sensing of the atmosphere provides the data basis for applications in weather and climate analysis, and thus modelling and forecasting. This session provides a forum for the discussion of retrieval techniques in cloud and aerosol remote sensing as well as their application.

Recently, methods using more than one sensor system have shown great promise. Therefore, contributions examining multi-sensor combinations as well as joint investigations of ground-based and satellite-based retrievals are especially encouraged.
