This session will consider all aspects of air-sea interaction: physics of fluxes (momentum, energy, heat, spray, moisture and gases) and processes (wind, waves, currents, slicks, rain, etc.) responsible for these fluxes at the air-sea interface, above and below; determination of fluxes from surface, aircraft and satellite; modelling studies at all scales; applications in particular to remote sensing. The emphasis will be given to papers presenting experimental and theoretical effort to understand the air-sea interactions at extreme weather conditions.
