The symposium is focused on presenting new achievements on measurement results and interpretation, modelling and simulation of ionospheric processes, advance of measuring techniques, ionospheric data ingestion and assimilation to improve models of ionospheric predictions, forecasting and nowcasting including the results obtained in the EU project COST296. All the above information is expected to help to improve ionospheric information and predictions for the advanced terrestrial and space-based systems including GNSS (Galileo) and EGNOS, and the HF telecommunications and radar ranging, and to help to potential future mitigation of ionospheric effects on such systems.
