Foreland thrust and fold belts represent both a key element of orogenic systems and an important play for the oil industry. The final geometry and deformation patterns of related anticlines result from the interplay between structural and stratigraphic factors and erosional / depositional processes. This session aims at bringing together studies at both regional and local scales and in both active and fossil belts. Contributions presenting surface and subsurface data are as welcome as contributions focusing on processes simulation.
