This session aims to bring geoscientists from all sub-disciplines together to present sedimentological, stratigraphic and geochemical data describing ice ages in the geological record, from Archaean to Holocene. We wish to solicit talks that test the evidence suggesting the occurrence of ice during the greenhouse episodes from high to equatorial latudes. We also wish to attract climate modellers to present and attend as the coupling of geological data with modelling approaches is key for understanding and reconstructing ancient and future climate cool periods.
