Numerical models predicting floodplain inundation have proved to be useful tools in floodplain management. The increased socioeconomic relevance of river flood studies has motivated the development of complex methodologies for the simulation of the hydraulic behaviour of river systems. Furthermore, innovative types of data (remote sensing, stage sensors, etc) can be used to support flood inundation models and understand better floodplain dynamics. Papers that address one or more of the following questions are solicited:
* Flood inundation dynamics
* Floodplain modelling
* Data assimilation (remotely sensed data, stage data, etc)
* Model calibration, validation and uncertainty analysis
