This session invites papers on the atmospheres of the gas giants, Jupiter and Saturn, and the icy giants, Uranus and Neptune. All aspects of these atmospheres (magnetospheric, auroral, upper atmospheric, structure, composition, thermal regime, meteorology, interiors, evolution) will be discussed. Results on the analysis of spacecraft observations (such as Cassini and New Horizons) as well as observations from ground-based or Earth-proximal platforms (such as Hubble Space Telescope or Spitzer Space Telescope), and theoretical
models are invited. Abstracts are also invited on future exploration possibilities.
