Achieving a quantitative understanding of the key biogeochemical-physical interactions and feedbacks between the ocean and the atmosphere and how marine biogeochemical cycles and ecosystems interact is a prerequisite to understand how this coupled system affects and is affected by climate and environmental change.
This session calls for contributions related to experimental work at sea or in the laboratory, remote sensing studies, and modelling studies of the biological, chemical, physical processes involved in the marine biogeochemical cycles, ecosystems, and their interactions. Contributions dealing with exchange processes at the air-sea interface are of course very welcome.
