This session is aimed towards the improvement of current methods for monitoring contaminant distribution and biodegradation in the subsurface. Present methods are unable to provide sufficiently accurate data with high enough resolution. Resulting in inability to assess of bioremediation progress and quantification of the processes involved in such bioremediation at contaminated field sites. Many of the methods used today are invasive and can only be carried out in limited number of locations. We especially encourage submission of abstracts that suggest novel or improved techniques as well as novel combination of techniques for carrying out minimal-invasive observations ranging from geophysical techniques to tree sampling.
