Short Course: Hydrological Analysis in R (co-organized)
Conveners: D. E. Reusser , W. Buytaert
Wed, 25 Apr, 15:30–19:00  / Room 25

The R language is an environment for data analysis and visualization and has become a de facto standard for developing statistical software. It is also gaining momentum in other fields such as hydrology.

The short course will introduce the capabilities of R with respect to hydrology, with the intend to get people motivated to do more of their analysis with this powerful environment. There are no prerequisites with respect to R, but attendees will benefit most if they bring along their laptops with R installed. We will present a selected number of examples, covering the topics of getting the data into R, data cleaning, visualization of standard hydrometeorological variables, simple modeling exercises, sensitivity analyses, GLUE and model calibration.

Please enquire about available spaces and register by email to Dominik Reusser.
