Research on greenhouse climates, specifically dynamics and links between high global temperatures and components of the carbon cycle are particularly important in the context of modern rises in global temperature and atmospheric carbon dioxide. This session welcomes research focused on advancing the current understanding of links between abrupt and long-term temperature and carbon cycle changes during the Cenozoic, including new reconstructions, new evidence for carbon sources and sinks, and models that address climate and carbon cycle dynamics.
Invited Speakers: Matthew Huber, Purdue University & Jim Zachos, UC Santa Cruz
