We aim to bring together recent modeling and observational studies of melting, crust accretion, deformation, dynamics, and hydrothermal processes at oceanic spreading centers. After decades of study, many first order questions remain on the processes that shape mid-ocean spreading. Interdisciplinary approaches and studies are particularly encouraged.

Our invited speaker for this session will be:
Fabrice Fontaine, IPGP
