In May 2012 ESA selected the JUICE concept as the first L-class mission in the Cosmic Vision Programme, with a foreseen launch date in 2022. “Emergence of habitable worlds around gas giants” is the overarching theme of the mission. The Townhall meeting will be devoted to presentation of the JUICE payload which selection is expected to be announced in February 2013.
