We invite presentations on the biogeochemical cycles, surface energy budget, cryosphere, water cycle, and climate and ecosystem interactions in Northern Eurasia. Presentations with strong human dimension, which in addition to impact studies of environmental change, include feedback studies of societal and land use change on regional and global environment and climate, and techniques to address the associated problems are strongly encouraged. The particular foci at the Session will be studies of the carbon cycle, and cryosphere – atmosphere interactions in the Northern Eurasia by the early career scientists associated with (or are interested to join) the Northern Eurasia Earth Science Partnership Initiative (NEESPI) and Dry Land studies within the Monsoon Asia Integrated Regional Study (MAIRS).
