This session aims at highlighting research focusing on climate variations during the past 2000 years at regional to continental scales.

We welcome presentations giving an insight into high-resolution quantitative land and ocean climate records, transient climate simulations, and on approaches to produce regional multi-proxy climate field reconstructions. We are also interested in studies comparing proxy data with climate model output, involving forward proxy modeling, data assimilation, or detection and attribution.
