Short Course on New Developments in Ore Deposit Geochemistry (SEG Sponsored) (CANCELLED) (co-organized)
Convener: Lluis Fontboté  | Co-Convener: Nicholas T. Arndt
Mon, 28 Apr, 17:30–19:00
Tue, 29 Apr, 17:30–19:00

THE COURSE HAS BEEN CANCELLED
The course, sponsored by Society of Economic Geologists (SEG), is suitable for students with no previous ore deposit experience. Ore deposits are sensitive indicators of crustal (and mantle) geochemical processes. Examples of classic orthomagmatic Ni-Cu-PGE deposits (Bushveld, Norilsk, Kambalda, etc) and hydrothermal deposits (both magmatic and non magmatic) will be used to illustrate basic principles governing how the deposits formed. Some information about exploration techniques will follow.

No abstracts should be sent for this session. Instead, people wishing to attend the course should contact Lluis Fontboté (lluis.fontbote@unige.ch) before noon of April 15th, 2014
