ZIP — Zooming In between subduction Plates (by invitation only)
Convener: Philippe Agard
Tue, 29 Apr, 17:30–19:00

Tectonic plates sinking over millions of years? Megaearthquakes & tsunamis? Global fluxes of elements?… How do stresses and energy release, via earthquakes and fluid-mediated mass transfer, interact on such varied spatial and temporal scales (from 10-4 to 106-7 yr)? Time to ZIP (Zoom In between Plates), into the subduction plate interface!

This splinter meeting is open to all members of the ZIP network (a recently launched, broad European Marie Curie ITN — International Training Network) and on invitation.
