HEPEX constitutes a community of scientists and practitioners in the field of hydro-meteorological forecasting. HEPEX seeks to advance the science and practice of hydrologic ensemble prediction (HEPS) and its usage in decision making by engaging in several kinds of ongoing activities. Participation in HEPEX is open to anyone wishing to contribute to its objectives. Individuals interested in becoming involved in HEPEX can do so through participation in its activities.

This Splinter Meeting aims to (i) introduce HEPEX to potentially interested scientists and to (ii) give some overview of HEPEX activities in the past year or so.
