Geology for Global Development (public)
Convener: Joel Gill
Thu, 01 May, 10:30–12:00

Geology has the potential to make a significant contribution to international development and the fight against global poverty. Geology for Global Development (GfGD), established in 2011, is a UK-based not-for-profit organisation that is working to promote the responsibility that geoscientists have to engage with such work. Our focus is on providing young geologists with the skills, information and opportunities to get involved throughout their careers, making a positive, effective and greater contribution. This splinter meeting will give people an opportunity to find out more about our work and ways to get involved. In addition it will allow an opportunity for discussion on this important topic.
