AS3.3 Aerosol Chemistry and Microphysics |
Convener: Markus Kalberer | Co-Conveners: Ulrich Krieger , Francis Pope |
This is a general open session on all aspects of Aerosol Chemistry and Microphysics. Contributions from aerosol laboratory, field, remote sensing and model studies are all highly encouraged.
This year the session will have a focus on the role of organic compounds in aerosol formation and growth ranging from fundamental aspects such as vapour pressure of organic compounds involved in aerosol formation to particle-gas-partitioning and new compounds classes invoked in organic aerosol formation such extremely low volatility organic compounds (ELVOC) and radicals.
The session will start with a solicited talk given by Thomas Mentel on “Formation of highly oxidized multifunctional compounds: Autoxidation of peroxy radicals formed in the oxidation of alkenes”.
