We invite presentations on the biogeochemical cycles, surface energy budget, cryosphere, water cycle, and climate and ecosystem interactions in Northern Eurasia. Presentations with strong human dimension, which in addition to impact studies of environmental change, include feedback studies of societal and land use change on regional and global environment and climate, and techniques to address the associated problems are strongly encouraged. The particular foci at the Session will be synthesis studies that summarize the 10 years of research within the Northern Eurasia Earth Science Partnership Initiative (NEESPI) as well as the studies by the early career scientists associated with (or are interested to join) NEESPI and its successor: Future Northern Eurasia scientific project.
