Since the beginning of the 21st century several large earthquakes triggered powerful tsunamis that have repeatedly demonstrated the devastating potential of these two combined natural hazards.
The intent of this session is to gather researchers from different areas of the globe affected in the past by strong or damaging earthquakes followed by devastating tsunamis in order to improve our understanding of these phenomena and their impacts. The main focus are the studies on large historical and instrumental earthquake and tsunami activity in different areas around the globe.
