Although the problem of earthquake prediction seems not solved so far, the integration of independent observations and knowledge can be already used to support decision makers with continuously updated seismic hazard scenarios.
This session intends to emphasize the added value of the interdisciplinary research devoted to Short-term Prediction of Earthquakes and to time-Dependent Assessment of Seismic Hazard (t-DASH).
Not minor scope of this session is to bring together scientist who are involved in monitoring earthquake prone areas with those who are working on earthquake hazard forecast and assessment in order to discuss the possibility of improving short-term seismic hazard estimation by contemporary using observations and knowledge poorly integrated in the past. This may include both ground (electromagnetical, geochemical, geophysical, biological, historical, seismological, planetary, etc.) and satellite observations.
Contributions describing genetic models of earthquake’s precursory phenomena (e.g. seismo-electromagnetism) are equally welcome.
