There has been increasing recognition that various magnetic properties can act as a sensitive gauge of stress histories in many rock types. This session invites contributions with a focus on the intersection of rock magnetism with tectonics and rock and mineral deformation processes. Potential topics include using magnetic anisotropy to study crustal deformation, petrofabric evolution, and regional kinematic histories, as well as magnetic properties associated with impact structures and shock metamorphism, rock magnetism of fault zones, and any other related fields.
